Tapioca flour is one of the oldest foods in Brazilian culture. Even before the arrival of the Portuguese, it was already consumed by indigenous peoples in the North and Northeast regions. Today, tapioca is widely known as a tasty, healthy, and functional food. Gluten-free and low in calories, the versatile tapioca is also a staple in weight-loss diets.
Well, designing packaging for tapioca wasn’t as easy as preparing this fitness-friendly delicacy. First, we graphically enhanced the Akio logo. The change modernized the brand, making it visually stronger. The word “Tapioca” was written using a typeface inspired by indigenous designs, a nod to the food’s origins. The decorative elements in the background of the packaging followed the same line of inspiration. Important: we left ample space for the product to be visible.
The packaging for Akio garlic products was also redesigned: fresh garlic, minced garlic, and crispy fried garlic. In short, we standardized the visual identity of the entire product line, creating a unified brand image in the consumer’s mind. This makes it even easier for consumers to recognize Akio products. Furthermore, it builds the trust consumers need to feel toward the brand.
To top it off, we created a mini-campaign for retail locations and the new website. These initiatives significantly increased product sales and further enhanced Akio’s image.
